Your Weekly Reset
Was Monday morning’s chaos already fast-forwarding through your brain on Sunday night? Same.
If you're reading this while mentally juggling tomorrow's to-do list, first take three actual breaths. The laundry can wait thirty seconds.
Here's your gentle rebellion toolkit for the week:
Start embarrassingly small. Make your bed, drink water, put on real pants. Tiny wins build momentum.
Practice the magic phrase: "Let me check my calendar and get back to you." This isn't rude, it's boundaries disguised as professionalism.
Schedule a 15-minute meeting with yourself. Check in: How am I feeling? What do I actually need? Sometimes it's a snack. Honor that.
Text someone who makes you laugh. Not someone who needs something from you, someone who brings you joy. Connection is medicine.
End your workday with something purely for you. Three pages of a book, a song that makes you dance badly in your kitchen, or staring out the window like a contemplative house cat.
Here's the thing about burnout recovery: it's not about adding more to your overflowing plate. It's about creating tiny pockets of space where you remember who you are when you're not performing or managing everyone else's needs.
You're allowed to be tired. You're allowed to do less. You're allowed to disappoint people with unrealistic expectations.
This week, try being unreasonably kind to yourself. Treat yourself like you would treat your best friend going through exactly what you're going through.
You've got this, not because you have to, but because you're worth taking care of.
Speaking of taking care of yourself: I'm thrilled to invite you to a Fall Equinox retreat I'm co-leading with my dear friend and coach Kaje Thomas next month. It's time to soften, to ground, and come home to yourself. Learn more and sign up below!
